Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SasaMetro mobile application, website, and related services ("Services").

By accessing or using SasaMetro, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. About SasaMetro

SasaMetro is a technology platform designed to support public transport operations, passenger information, and mobility services.

SasaMetro does not operate transport services, own vehicles, or employ drivers unless explicitly stated.

Public transport services remain the responsibility of licensed operators and Transport for NSW (TfNSW).

3. Eligibility

To use SasaMetro, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old, or have parental/guardian consent
  • Be legally capable of entering a binding agreement
  • Use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws

4. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

5. Use of the Services

You agree not to:

  • Use SasaMetro for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Interfere with system security or performance
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit the platform without permission
  • Misuse real-time transport data or operational tools

SasaMetro reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse is detected.

6. Transport Information Disclaimer

SasaMetro may provide:

  • Real-time or predicted transport information
  • Route, stop, and timetable data
  • Driver or passenger communication features

While we aim for accuracy, transport information may be delayed, incorrect, or unavailable due to factors beyond our control.

SasaMetro does not guarantee:

  • Arrival times
  • Service availability
  • Operational decisions made by transport operators

Passengers should always follow official TfNSW announcements and operator instructions.

7. Driver & Operator Use (If Applicable)

If you are a driver, operator, or agency using SasaMetro tools:

  • You remain responsible for compliance with TfNSW regulations, contracts, and safety obligations
  • SasaMetro provides decision-support tools only, not operational authority
  • Final service decisions remain with the operator or TfNSW

8. Data, Analytics & AI Use

SasaMetro may collect and analyze anonymized and aggregated data to:

  • Improve service efficiency
  • Support transport planning and analytics
  • Develop AI-driven insights

No personally identifiable data is shared without lawful authority or consent.

All data handling complies with applicable Australian privacy laws.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, trademarks, and data within SasaMetro are owned by or licensed to SasaMetro.

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, or commercialize any part of the Services
  • Use SasaMetro branding without written permission

10. Third-Party Services

SasaMetro may integrate third-party services (e.g. maps, payment gateways, analytics).

We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or actions.

Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Required by law or government authority
  • The Service is discontinued or materially changed

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • SasaMetro is provided "as is"
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • We are not responsible for service disruptions caused by operators, TfNSW, or external factors

Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify SasaMetro against any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Services
  • Breach of these Terms
  • Violation of applicable laws or third-party rights

14. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update these Terms or modify the Services at any time.

Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
